home in new mexico

it’s fun to have visitors in town, because it gives me an excuse to do all kinds of stuff i wouldn’t do if they weren’t here. like be a tourist in my home state.
so far this week, i’ve done the following (not in this order):
– gone on a ghost tour of old town albuquerque
– toured acoma pueblo
– played black jack for two hours at the route 66 casino
– tromped around at white sands for the sunset
– hunted for combat boots at kaufman’s
– shopped for blue jeans at the buffalo exchange
– had beer at kelly’s
– taken pictures of the sandias from nob hill
– had manhattans at nob hill bar and grill
– eaten green chile at every meal
– had breakfast burritos at the frontier
– devoured green chile cheeseburgers at the buckhorn tavern in san antonio, nm
– bought tickets to the balloon fiesta for tomorrow’s special shapes glowdeo

… and the week’s not even over yet…
